Exceptional Craftsmanship Starts with Exceptional Materials
Based in Oroville, California, Blantons Rustics is rooted in the Sierra Nevada foothills, where much of the wood we work with is found, salvaged, and given a second life.
We seek out fallen, foraged, found, and reclaimed wood, including timber left behind by fires throughout our surrounding communities. When a tree has fallen or wood has been left behind, its story doesn't have to end there. Rather than allowing beautiful, useful wood to simply rot away, we salvage it and transform it into something others can enjoy for years to come.
Every piece of wood has a story—where it grew, what it endured, and how it eventually found its way to our workshop. When we know that story, we're happy to share it. And when we don't, the character in the grain, knots, scars, and imperfections often tells a story of its own.
We believe the best materials don't have to be perfect. They just need to have character, history, and a little more life left in them.
The imperfections are part of what makes every piece unique. Nail holes, saw marks, aging, and natural grain patterns all become part of the final design instead of something to hide. Beyond the appearance, reclaimed materials also allow older wood to continue being used rather than discarded.
For Blantons Rustics, woodworking is about more than building furniture — it’s about preserving craftsmanship and creating pieces with history behind them.
